Memoirs of a Geyser is a project shot and written over four days spent around Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. The project intention was to record my tourist experience as if predicting the involuntary memory recall we observe in the months and years following holiday or travel. I aimed to capture the lived experience on a different level by documenting these ‘future random flashbacks’ and pairing them with fragmentary prose and poetry. Memoirs of a Geyser also reflects on place and circumstance, observing how a popular tourist destination affects and influences its surrounding localities.
